Aerospace Bristol Car Display

Aerospace Bristol have exceeded themselves and are putting on a Bristol related display with a lot of material we have loaned them for the May half term. Everything from 1940s prototype models to an immaculate cast of the Fighter.

The  lovely 450 replica will also be on display there and our lightly restored 401 buck is in the position of honour in front of Concorde.

Fathers’ Day is Sunday 16 June.  Aerospace Bristol requested a display of Bristol cars on that day.  I am aware Aerospace has asked a number of other car clubs to display over either Sat or Sun.  My recommendation is that owners with a Bristol car try and attend on the Sunday.  We have been offered free entry for driver and passenger; a complimentary coffee and a separate room to “retire” to if required.  Should be a good show and I hope a good number will attend.

Those attending in their Bristol will get a three years entry ticket and refreshments, in exchange for putting it on display.

In addition, Aerospace Bristol is calling upon Bristol car owners to help the museum celebrate Bristol cars this May half-term. Any Bristol car owner that visits the museum between Saturday 25th May and Sunday 2nd June will be invited to display their car at the entrance to the museum’s Concorde Hangar for visitors to enjoy.

As a thank you for bringing your vehicle, Aerospace Bristol will provide lunch and coffees in the café for the driver and one guest, as well as free entry to the museum.

The museum is open from 10am to 4.30pm and – while the museum would like cars to be on display as long as possible – you are welcome to arrive and leave at times to suit you.

If you are available over the course of that week and would like to support the museum, please email Adam Jones via adam.jones@aerospacebristol.org or call Adam on 07535 502 268 to obtain full details.

See the Aerospace Bristol website for more details.
