Dear Fellow Aficionados,
Due to late demand, we have reopened the ticket line for this, our remarkable (nearly) annual lecture day on Saturday 28 March. Final deadline is Tuesday afternoon.
Here’s the draft programme:
Before 10 am sharp Bristol cars arrive for echelon display inside Aerospace Bristol, Filton, BS34 5BZ.
There will be talks from Nick Topliss, Vice-Chair of VSCC about his 406 Zagato replica, Stefan Cembrowicz, Clive Perry, and Michael Crawford will go through the broad and fine detail of how we bagged all the archives, drawings, blueprints, books, photographs and other ephemera; and what we are doing with them for you.
You will see images and items that have not been made public before. Plenty of time for banter and the usual GRI (Gossip, Rumour, & Innuendo).
There will be conducted tours of the Restoration Hanger and the Rolls-Royce engine hanger.
Free entry to the museum is included in your ticket for a year and you can see our skilfully dissected 403 display.
Morning coffee, midday lunch, and afternoon tea are all thrown in (metaphorically)
Our day ends by 4 pm, after an auction of Bristoliana ephemera, and a Q & A panel of “distinguished” (?) experts.
