After nearly 4 years the Bristol Owners Heritage Trust has finally, finally managed to purchase all the Archives of Bristol cars, starting with the Bristol Aeroplane Company’s Car Division records, correspondence, blueprints, and plans. And a lot of dust!
The contents of the archive extend right through the firm’s various iterations, with material from all levels, right to the bitter end.
The mammoth task of organising, sorting indexing and archiving all this lies ahead and we are very grateful to the individual donors from around the world who have supported and funded us.
We have a lovely work room within the Restoration Hangar at Aerospace Bristol within which we will soon get cracking. And our dozen Double Elephant sized vintage plan chests are stored safely within a local self storage facility.
As we need to unpack and rehome the filing cabinets, we will soon have some of these evocative mid century vintage industrial containers spare. If you would like one free, (though donations are always welcome) please get in touch with me at info@bristolownersht.com
