Spare Original Factory Publications

As the Trust’s volunteers sort, collate and catalogue the records that are now in storage at the BOHT workroom in the conservation hanger at Aerospace Bristol and at ,two storage units a short distance away on the other side of the A38, a fair quantity of surplus documents are being found, most of which are unused but show signs of having been stored for many, many years.

In order to generate income to support the Trust in its stated aims, surplus items from the archive are being offered for sale. Disposal of these surplus items will not deprive the archive of any examples of documents, drawings, specifications, brochures or ephemera. After all, does the Trust need to find space for dozens of, say, road test reprints or model brochures when these could be of interest to those who own or have an interest in Bristols?

Items that are available include sales brochures for Types 404, 405, 407 (in French) 408, 409, 410, 411 S1 & 2, 411 S3, 603, 603 S2 and the Blenheim, reprints of contemporary road test reports, 2-litre specifications, a Bristol Cars 407 specification, various flyers, advertising material, press releases, production jobs cards, unused commercial documents and other ephemera. A range of new instruction books for various models are also available,

As the Trust works its way through the records of Bristol Cars Limited, rarer and more interesting car- and company-related items can be made available and revised price lists provided.
